Colorado Foreclosure Sale: Creating an Account and Registration

This training article is for Colorado Counties that conduct a Foreclosure Sale. There may be different registration requirements and bidding methods for different counties in Colorado. Follow these steps to successfully register with GovEase for the upcoming Foreclosure Sale.

First Time Registering? Follow These Steps:

1. Visit GovEase.com
2. Click Sign Up/Log In at the top right
3. Click Sign Up
4. Complete all fields that apply to you. Then proceed to the auction registration.
5. Click on Register/Add Auctions under My Account
6. Click on Register beside the Auction you want to participate in
7. Find the County that is conducting a Foreclosure Sale. You will need to either upload or e-sign the documents and submit your requested approval amount. Be sure to carefully read over all of the documents.
8. If you have completed all of the required documents, you will need to wire the entire amount you want to be approved for. GovEase will only approve you for the amount you have wired. Must wire at the latest by 11 AM Mountain Time the day before the sale.
9. Once GovEase has approved you, visit the My Registrations page to check your approval status and verify your total approved dollar amount.
10. Once it says Approved next to the Auction you signed up for, you are good to place a bid in that county when bidding begins.
  1. If you plan to bid in several auctions throughout the year, you don't have to register again, but you do have to wire the total funds you want to be approved for each time.

What to do if you already have a GovEase account:

1. Log in with your email and password. If you forgot your password, click "I forgot my password."

2. When registration is open for the Foreclosure Sale, you can go to Register/Add Auctions under My Account. You will be notified by email when registration opens up.

3. From there, you can click on Register beside the county you want to participate in.

4. Upload or E-sign all required documents. Submit your requested approval amount. Be sure to carefully read over all of the documents.

5.  If you already have a GovEase account and registered for a Colorado Foreclosure before, you don't have to register again; you will need to wire the total funds you plan to spend before the foreclosure sale. Must wire at the latest by 11 AM Mountain Time the day before the sale.

6. Once GovEase has approved you, visit the My Registrations page to check your approval status and verify your total approved dollar amount.

**GovEase has changed our process for sending and receiving wire transfers for auctions. If you still have wire instructions for Plains Capital Bank, please do not utilize those instructions going forward as we will no longer be able to apply your wires to your account if funds are sent there.

Going forward, if you need to send a wire deposit or payment for one of our auctions, please reach out to us for updated wiring instructions at support@govease.com or contact us at 769-208-5050.

If you do send a wire deposit or payment, you will be required to submit to us a wire confirmation and fill out a form detailing the amount, county, bidder/entity name, and any other pertinent information before it can be applied to your account. Without this information, the wire will not be applied to your account.

Also, please note that an additional registration document will also need to be filled out for wire instructions to your financial institution to receive your refund timely. If instructions are not provided, a check will be cut and remitted to the address on your GovEase profile and made out to your or your entity name listed in the auction you have registered for. This change will take place starting on Friday, December 19th, 2025.**
