McLennan County FAQ
Bidding and Registration FAQs
1. What do I need to do to become a bidder?
Go to www.govease.com and create/sign in to your profile. Under My Account on the left side of the page, bidders will select Register/Add Auctions. Then, bidders will find McLennan County and click the blue Register button. Bidders will be required to electronically sign/upload all registration documents in order to be approved to bid in the auction. Once all required documents have been completed, the county will approve bidders to participate in the bidding.
2. Is the auction online only, or will the auction also be done in person?
Auctions will be online only.
3. How does the bidding work?
Bidding starts at the minimum bid. You can set the total overbid amount that you want to bid in addition to that starting bid amount. The system will go up in $100 increments each time someone else bids until the amount you set has been reached. You may enter an overbid at any time after the parcels have been loaded into the “ Auctions” page and pre-bidding has been enabled. This will register the overbid amount you are willing to bid on once the parcel is open for live online bidding. In the live bidding, the parcels will be sold one at a time until all parcels are sold. Each parcel will be live for 3 minutes. Once bids cease and time has expired, the auction will close and be sold to the bidder with the highest bid. for the McLennan TX sale on August 5th - it will be OVERBID not standard like the last one. McLennan has two law firms that handle their sales and the law firms have elected to run their auction differently.
Linebarger sale - overbid
MVBA sale - standard

The first bidder to place their bid will be the winning bidder.
5. Can other bidders see my bids?
