Louisiana Auction Bidding and Reports
This article only applies to Louisiana bidding. Other states may have a different type of bidding. The Bidding on the Auctions page will be available when the bidding is scheduled for that Parish/City auction. For upcoming auction times and dates, please check out the following link: Upcoming Auctions. Also, bidding will open up at a certain time and close out at a certain time, those times will be listed on the registration page. There is no pre-bidding, you will only be able to bid within that time frame.
Follow these steps to bid during the live auction:
1. Log in and make sure the drop-down at the top has the correct parish/city selected
2. From the Auctions tab, Find the parcel you want to bid on a click the blue unique number link.
3. On the detailed view page, you can click Place bid and then type in your interest bid.
4.The only bids that can be placed are 1.0%, 0.9%, 0.8%, 0.7%. Lowest interest rate placed wins. If someone places same bid the tie breaker goes to the first bidder to place the bid.
5.These are proxy bids for example if you put in 0.7% bid and no one else bids against you, then you would win it at 1.0% ,the highest bid.
6. View your screen to see if you are winning or if you have been outbid, you can also refresh the page to get updated bids and updated time left on the clock.
Reports
You have three options under "Reports."
1. Bidder Bid Detail: This will not show anything because pre-bidding is not allowed for these auctions.
2. Bidder Purchase Detail: This would be a summary of all the parcels you won.
3. Completed Auctions: This would be a summary of all parcels that have been auctioned off. Note: This report is only available for a short time after the completion of the auction.
